The test measures the amount of luteinizing hormone in the blood.
The deviation from normal range indicate turner syndrome, autoimmune disorders, ovarian umour, adrenal or thyroid disease, polycystic ovary syndrome, failure in ovary development and klinefelter syndrome. Lower measure is indicative of sexual dysfunction and ovarian failure.
