Test details

Hepatitis B is a deadly viral disease that causes liver damage. Hepatitis B Surface Antigen Test or Hbs Ag (Australian Antigen) Test is done to detect the exact status of chronic Hepatitis B infection.

Test required for

HBsAg test is done to check the presence of the hepatitis B virus in the blood. HBV Neutralization shows that the patient has circulating Hepatitis B surface antigen. It can be confirmed by neutralization procedure to find the false positives due to interfering substances.
