Streptococcus bacteria is a major disease-causing organism that causes various infections including Strep throat and glomerulonephritis infection in humans. An Antistreptolysin O Titer (ASO) Test or ASLO Test is used to diagnose the presence of an active Streptococcus infection by detecting the presence of antistreptolysin antibodies in the blood.
